Our client is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Senior Associate to join its growing Life Sciences practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated patent prosecution and litigation matters involving innovative technologies across the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, gene therapy, medical device, and digital health sectors. The position is available in Boston, Denver, New York, Palo Alto, or Washington, DC.

The successful candidate will manage a broad range of intellectual property matters, including patent portfolio development and management, patentability assessments, competitive landscape analyses, and patent prosecution strategies. The role also involves supporting and handling patent litigation matters while collaborating closely with clients, attorneys, and technical professionals on complex life sciences innovations.

Qualified candidates must have a JD from an accredited law school, an undergraduate degree in Biology, and 3–5 years of post-JD experience with significant exposure to both patent prosecution and litigation. A PhD in a life sciences discipline is strongly preferred. Candidates should have experience working with patents related to biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, gene therapy, medical devices, or digital health technologies.

Additional requirements include admission to practice before the USPTO, active bar membership and good standing in the applicable jurisdiction, and excellent written, verbal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment is essential.

Salary Range: $260,000 – $365,000 annually.
