The Biller is responsible for managing the full-cycle legal billing process to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant invoice submission for the firm. This role serves as a key liaison between attorneys, clients, and third-party billing platforms, handling invoice preparation, pre-bill revisions, final billing, and issue resolution. Responsibilities include reviewing billing data for accuracy and compliance with client guidelines, resolving billing discrepancies and client inquiries, maintaining billing records, reconciling adjustments, and coordinating with legal teams to meet client-specific billing requirements. The position also supports financial reporting, manages billing setups and rate structures, and assists with monthly billing operations and ad hoc finance requests.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in legal billing, accounts receivable, collections, or a related financial role, preferably within a law firm environment. An associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. Experience with legal accounting software, particularly Elite 3E, and familiarity with e-billing platforms such as Legal Tracker, Tymetrix, or Collaborati are highly valued. Strong knowledge of legal billing practices, client billing guidelines, LEDES formats, UTBMS coding, and compliance standards is required, along with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Experience with insurance SIR tracking is also preferred.

This hybrid position is based in Los Angeles and offers two remote workdays per week. The salary range is $85,000–$95,000 annually, along with competitive benefits, 401(k), and profit sharing.
