Business Intake & Conflicts Compliance Analyst

The BIC Compliance Analyst supports the firm’s risk management and business intake functions by ensuring compliance with policies related to engagement letters, conflict waivers, and ethical screens. This role is responsible for tracking and following up on pending new business requests, drafting and maintaining ethical walls, reviewing database alerts, processing matter name changes, and assisting with conflicts analysis and resolution. The analyst also conducts legal and corporate research, performs conflicts and ethics-related research, and communicates regularly with attorneys and firm leadership to resolve complex compliance issues. Additional responsibilities include assisting with department projects, participating in testing of new technologies, and providing conflicts-related training to attorneys, paralegals, and other staff.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in a law firm, legal environment, or conflicts department, along with knowledge of ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct and corporate law practice. Experience with IntApp Open, Contract Express, legal research, and conflicts resolution is required. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and customer service skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. A bachelor’s degree, JD, paralegal certificate, or prior law firm paralegal experience is preferred.
Compensation ranges from approximately $79,040–$106,080 annually, depending on location, experience, and qualifications.
