Business Intake & Conflicts Manager

The firm is seeking a BIC Manager (New Business) to oversee daily operations within the Business Intake and Conflicts team, including conflicts review, new business intake, and compliance request processing. This role is responsible for supervising team workflows, managing staffing coverage, monitoring inboxes and queues, and ensuring service goals and deadlines are consistently met. The BIC Manager will serve as the primary escalation point for attorneys, paralegals, and business professionals while collaborating closely with BIC leadership on reporting, strategic initiatives, process improvements, and department operations.

Additional responsibilities include mentoring and coaching team members, supporting hiring and performance management processes, facilitating training programs, and ensuring consistency in conflicts and intake procedures across the team. The role also involves assisting with workflow management, responding to status requests, processing intake forms, and maintaining strong communication across departments.

Candidates should have at least 5+ years of combined conflicts and legal intake experience, along with strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Supervisory experience, prior training experience, and knowledge of complete conflicts resolution are preferred. A bachelor’s degree, JD, paralegal certificate, or prior law firm experience as a paralegal or legal researcher is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, iManage, and other legal technology systems is required.

The expected salary range for this position is $120,000–$175,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and location.
