This position is part of a high-level intellectual property practice supporting patent prosecution for advanced technology matters. The role centers on drafting patent applications and preparing responses to communications from U.S. and international patent offices, requiring the ability to translate complex technical concepts into precise legal documentation. The individual partners closely with attorneys, clients, and inventors to evaluate innovations, analyze technical details, and contribute to strategy throughout the patent lifecycle.

Beyond drafting, the role acts as a liaison among stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of scientific information and efficient progression of matters. Responsibilities include conducting technical research, reviewing and organizing documents, assessing emerging technologies, and managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. The position also involves identifying and resolving complex patent-related issues while maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism.

Candidates typically have a background in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering, along with strong analytical, writing, and communication skills. Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is preferred but not required.

This is a full-time, exempt role with a hybrid schedule across multiple U.S. offices. Compensation for positions based in certain major markets generally ranges from $120,000 to $200,000, depending on experience and qualifications, with flexibility for growth based on expertise.
