The Patent Prosecution Technical Advisor or Patent Agent (Biotech) supports the development and management of global patent portfolios within a dynamic intellectual property practice. This role involves drafting and prosecuting patent applications, preparing office action responses, and coordinating prosecution strategies with foreign associates across multiple jurisdictions. The position works closely with scientists, inventors, and investors to translate complex scientific innovations into strong patent protections, while also conducting patent landscape and freedom-to-operate analyses to support strategic decisions. Additional responsibilities include reviewing scientific literature and contributing to IP diligence efforts for investments, IPOs, and other transactions. The role requires regular in-office collaboration as part of a team-driven environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in a biological science discipline such as immunology, molecular biology, computational biology, or a related field. Strong analytical and scientific writing skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Candidates must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities. USPTO admission is preferred but not required.

This position offers a salary range of $100,000 to $200,000 and is bonus eligible, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
