The Temporary Senior Paralegal supports litigation and investigative efforts by gathering, reviewing, and organizing information from law enforcement, government officials, witnesses, and counsel. Responsibilities include preparing legal documents such as complaints, motions, pleadings, and subpoenas, as well as reviewing and summarizing transcripts, reports, and evidence. The role involves assisting attorneys in pre-litigation investigations, witness interviews, complex research, and financial analyses to assess judgments or settlements. Candidates will analyze health care billing and treatment records, manage large datasets using Microsoft Excel, and utilize ESI/eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity and Everlaw. Additional duties include drafting correspondence and legal documents, preparing trial materials, maintaining case files, performing legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and other resources, and providing clerical and administrative support. The Senior Paralegal also coordinates with victim/witness specialists and manages calendars, dockets, and deadlines, while creating visual materials for courtroom presentations.

Qualifications include a paralegal certificate, JD, or equivalent legal training or experience, with at least two years of litigation or project-related paralegal experience and one year of automated litigation support. Candidates must have strong knowledge of federal and state courts, legal research procedures, eDiscovery tools, and proficiency in office and legal software. Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure are essential.
